About Us

Three friends. One compass.

The Navigation Firm was founded by three Native women who have walked side-by-side for years—sharing projects, late-night problem-solving, and the belief that mobility should open doors for every community.
Kendra McGeady, Tiffany Cogle, and Michelle Robertson built this firm the way they built their friendship: with trust, straight talk, and a bias for getting good work over the finish line.

Where our paths crossed

Three smiling women, founders of The Navigation Firm, standing together in front of a red brick wall.

We met through the work—on rural routes, in Tribal council chambers, and inside transit barns where decisions are lived every day. Over time, the collaboration turned into a rhythm:

  • Kendra shaping service and funding strategy with leaders and boards.

  • Tiffany keeping operations grounded in people—drivers, riders, and the teams who run the system.

  • Michelle translating complex choices into clear outreach, digital tools, and campaigns that build public trust.

We kept getting called into the same rooms, and the projects kept getting stronger when we worked together. Starting The Navigation Firm felt less like a leap and more like naming what already existed.

What we’ve built together (before the firm—and now)

  • Transit strategy that sticks. From demand-response redesigns to microtransit pilots, we’ve helped agencies balance coverage, reliability, and budget—and communicate the why behind the changes.

  • Funding that fuels service. We’ve packaged grant narratives, visuals, and partnerships that move reviewers—and set realistic reporting rhythms after the win.

  • Outreach people trust. From listening sessions to plain-language campaigns, we’ve brought riders, operators, and councils into the process so choices feel shared, not forced.

  • Digital tools that help teams ship. Clean websites, accessible content, and simple editor playbooks that keep information current and on-brand.

Why “Navigation”

We didn’t want a name about transactions; we wanted one about direction. Navigation is practical and principled. It’s knowing where you are, where you’re headed, and how to bring people with you.
Our mark—three rising points and clear guiding lines—reflects exactly that: three women, one compass, forward together.

How we work

Three women, founders of The Navigation Firm, smiling together outdoors on a city street with trees and buildings in the background.
  • Listen first. Ride-alongs, staff huddles, kitchen-table conversations—real input, not just inbox surveys.

  • Clarify tradeoffs. Coverage vs. frequency, convenience vs. cost—we put the choices on one page so leaders can decide with confidence.

  • Co-design and deliver. We build the plan, the maps, the messages, and the launch materials—so the work doesn’t stall between “approved” and “live.”

  • Measure and adjust. Simple metrics and reporting rhythms that teams can maintain.

Our promise

We will respect sovereignty and local context. We will center riders and the staff who serve them. We will leave useful tools behind—maps, playbooks, and reporting rhythms that make the next decision easier than the last.
